Selva

Selva is a great restaurant that serves South American fusion. Dinner is pricey and tapas / family style. For two, we got 5 or 6 plates and were satisfied. There are a lot of options to try, but the highlights are the fried rice and skewers. The Yuka fries were awesome too. I really recommend maybe trying this place for brunch, I imagine it would be less expensive. We ended up paying about $170 for this dinner, which is more than I expected to spend for the night.

Cute spot. Fairly busy for a Thursday evening. Everything is presented with a lot of care and it looks like a lot of effort goes into everything. Love that attention to detail. Great service, good balance of presence for sitting at the bar. Enjoyed mora amor cocktail, a sweeter drink which is my preference. Really cute iridescent oil on top. Anise old fashioned was interesting and also fairly sweet. Crudo scallops (3) were great, great presentation too. Fried rice was good I’d like to try sea scallops or mushroom version next time. I ended up spending around $60 got two cocktails, and 1 1/2 appetizers. It’s tapas style so they are small plates. Rice was relatively large portion we didn’t end up finishing it. Overall good experience and would visit again!

Delicious food and nice atmosphere. Love the staff. One gentleman server is a bit too much though. His enthusiasm is a bit overwhelming and his questions are at times silly. Instead of asking our opinion on the dish he would return with “is it fantastic”, “is it fabulous”?? These questions leave little room for an honest answer. He is a bit loud and while we know he means well, I think he is trying too hard.

The smoked chicken is delicious. Could not get enough of those savory dipping sauces. The service was impeccable. Chef Carlos made the rounds to check on everyone to see if everyone was happy, and we were! They have their own small free parking lot along the side of the restaurant but come early (before 6:30 pm) if you want a space! The place was packed by 7:30 pm when we were there on a Thursday night. The word is out that this is a great place!

My siblings and I decided to try this place out, and Selva did not disappoint! The staff was friendly, knowledgeable, fast and funny. The drinks are amazing, and the presentation was on point. The food was so flavorful that we had to keep ordering more! This place has sharable sizes so you can try more, especially in a group. To finish our experience, we shared dessert, which satisfied our chocolate cravings. We will be back to bring our parents! Thank you for exceeding our expectations 🥰

Had a great date night here! The drinks were on point and the food was amazing. The bottle prices for wine are way more fair at this establishment than other places I’ve visited. The ambiance was perfect for a night out with friends or a date. The decor was interesting and everything was appealing to the eye. We were able to sit down right away and we chose the bar. The bartender was very energetic and super knowledgeable of the menu, I give him props for properly pronouncing the Colombian-themed menu. However, he did have a moment that came off a bit rude. He literally went thru the entire menu with us, half way through my date asked if we could put in a chicken and rice dish for an appetizer, but instead of doing so the bartender said, “well let me finish going through the menu first” in a very curt tone. We allowed him to finish and asked for the same app to be brought out while we figured out what else we wanted. We laughed it off and joked about how we could read the menu ourselves, but I’m sure the bartender meant well. But I really don’t need every single menu item read to me, usually they just let us know if there’s a chef special or if there’s a menu item that is well loved by fellow patrons. Our appetizer took awhile to come out, but it wasn’t a big deal. Our entrees came out fairly quick. Everything was amazing, however I am definitely ordering the beef with the sauce on the side next time. It was very yummy and I was surprised it was made from a type of worm, but it was also pretty rich and overpowered the taste of the meat (and the steak was cooked to perfection). Overall we had great service, everyone there was in great spirits, enjoyed what they do, super knowledgeable of their menu items, and just overall great customer service. I will definitely come back here again in the future!
